Анна приїхала до Канади у 2022 році — не за власним вибором, а через війну, що змінила плани мільйонів українців. Водночас саме Едмонтон став її новим домом, адже саме звідси її хлопець. Попри складний переїзд, Анна швидко стала важливою частиною української громади. До МУНО Анна долучилася вже в грудні 2022 року — і з того часу стала рушійною силою багатьох ініціатив.

Аня є незамінною: Анна очолює одразу два ключові напрями — комітет табору “Гарт” і комітет соціальних заходів. Її роль — це ідейна робота, організація, створення емоційного простору, де кожен почувається залученим.

За фахом Анна — викладачка математики, яка свого часу також була класною керівницею. Але в Канаді її життя набрало нових барв: зараз вона — фотографка (предметна й сімейна фотографія), а також викладачка в театральній студії “Джерело”. Театр — це її давнє захоплення: 16 років вона грала в аматорському колективі, і любов до сцени, до образу, до живої дії й досі відчутна в кожному її проєкті.

Анна зізнається, що волонтерство для неї — це не про жертовність, а про задоволення бути серед близьких людей, творити з ними щось справжнє, ділитися моментами. Саме в МУНО вона навчилася працювати в команді, віддавати щиро й без очікувань, знаходити спільну мову навіть у найскладніших обставинах.

Її найулюбленіші завдання — вигадувати нові ідеї, організовувати події, які живлять, об’єднують і залишають слід. Вона щаслива на своєму місці і хоче й надалі займатись саме тим, що робить зараз. Водночас вона мріє, щоб МУНО зростало, залучало більше людей і впливало на громаду все глибше й ширше.

Її натхнення — це люди поруч, а мрія — спільна для всіх українців: перемога, мир і гідне життя для України. Анна — це поєднання театральної душі, педагогічного досвіду, креативності та організаторського хисту. І ще — безмежна любов до життя, яке можна ділити з іншими.

📍 Poltava → Canada, since 2022

Anna came to Canada in 2022 — not by choice, but because of the war that changed the plans of millions of Ukrainians. At the same time, Edmonton became her new home since her boyfriend is from there. Despite the difficult move, Anna quickly became an important part of the Ukrainian community. She joined UNYF in December 2022 and has since become a driving force behind many initiatives.

Although it is not an official position within UNYF Edmonton, she serves as the Treasurer’s Assistant. Overall, Anna is indispensable at UNYF and leads two key directions — the “HART” camp committee and the social events committee. Her role involves conceptual work, organization, and creating an emotional space where everyone feels involved.

By profession, Anna is a mathematics teacher who was once a homeroom teacher. But in Canada, her life gained new colours: she is now a photographer (specializing in product and family photography) and a teacher at the theater studio “Dzherelo.” Theater has been her longtime passion: for 16 years, she acted in an amateur troupe, and her love for the stage, character creation, and live action is still evident in every project she undertakes.

Anna admits that volunteering for her is not about sacrifice but about the joy of being among close people, creating something real with them, and sharing moments. It is at UNYF that she learned to work as part of a team, to give sincerely without expectations, and to find common ground even in the most difficult circumstances.

Her favourite tasks include coming up with new ideas and organizing events that nourish, unite, and leave a lasting impact. She feels happy in her place and wants to continue doing exactly what she is doing now. At the same time, she dreams of UNYF growing, attracting more people, and having an even deeper and wider impact on the community.

Her inspiration comes from the people around her, and her dream is shared by all Ukrainians: victory, peace, and a dignified life for Ukraine. Anna is a combination of a theatrical soul, pedagogical experience, creativity, and organizational talent. And also — boundless love for life that can be shared with others.
