Денис приїхав до Канади у 2023 році. Каже, що просто хотів «побачити Америку, але чомусь прилетів у Канаду» — і вже невдовзі опинився в колі МУНО. Його шлях — це не лише нова країна, а й нове середовище, в якому він відкриває себе з нових боків: через волонтерство, спілкування, гумор і бажання бути корисним.

Попри жартівливий тон, Денис — той, хто щиро допомагає, навіть коли це важко, навіть коли не хочеться. Він переконаний: є моменти, коли просто треба стати поруч і зробити, що можеш. Так і з волонтерством — для нього це не про високі слова, а про дію тоді, коли вона дійсно потрібна.

У МУНО Денис — один з тих, хто створює атмосферу: щирий, легкий, енергійний, він привносить в організацію гумор і молодий дух. Улюблені завдання? Готувати, а ще краще — просто їсти. Улюблена подія? Виступ Alyona Alyona, який залишив після себе море вражень. А ще він не проти стати головою МУНО — колись, у майбутньому.

Денис має безліч захоплень: стендап, карате, історія, плавання, англійська. І все це він розвиває, будучи частиною української громади. Його натхнення — українські військові, волонтери, діячі культури, а також сам він — бо вірить у власний вплив і силу.

Його мрія проста й потужна — перемога. А інші мрії? Вони вже залежать від нього. І щось підказує, що він до них дійде — жартуючи, допомагаючи й об’єднуючи довкола себе інших.

Denys arrived in Canada in 2023. He says he “just wanted to see America but somehow ended up flying to Canada” — and before long, he found himself in the circle of UNYF. His journey isn’t just about a new country, but a new environment where he’s discovering new sides of himself: through volunteering, connection, humour, and a desire to be useful.

Despite his light-hearted tone, Denys is someone who helps sincerely — even when it’s hard, even when he doesn’t feel like it. He believes there are moments when you just need to show up and do what you can. That’s what volunteering is to him — not about grand words, but about action when it truly matters.

At UNYF, Denys is one of those who create the atmosphere. Genuine, easygoing, and full of energy, he brings humour and youthful spirit to the organization. His favourite tasks? Cooking — or even better, just eating. Favourite event? The Alyona Alyona charity concert, which left a lasting impression. And he’s not opposed to becoming the president of UNYF— someday, in the future.

Denys has a wide range of interests: stand-up comedy, karate, history, swimming, and English — all of which he continues to develop while staying connected to the Ukrainian community. His inspirations include Ukrainian soldiers, volunteers, cultural figures, and also himself — because he believes in his own impact and strength.

His dream is simple yet powerful — victory. As for his other dreams? Those are up to him. And something tells us he’ll achieve them — through jokes, helping others, and bringing people together along the way.
