Єлизавета народилася в Києві, а до Канади переїхала у 2023 році, вступивши до магістратури Університету Альберти. За плечима має вражаючий багаж освіти: бакалаврат з дієтології, магістратуру з лабораторної діагностики та ще одну магістратуру — як викладачка англійської та німецької мов у виші. Зараз навчається й одночасно працює в університеті як research assistant, беручи участь у наукових дослідженнях.

До МУНО приєдналася вже за кілька місяців після переїзду — у жовтні або листопаді 2023 року. Відтоді активно долучається до проєктів: організовувала концерти, знімала відео для театральних виступів. Її волонтерський шлях наповнений ініціативністю, відкритістю до нового й готовністю вчитися. Єлизавета каже, що волонтерство — це не просто підтримка України, це спосіб творити, досліджувати себе, віднаходити нові сторони власної особистості та втілювати ідеї у життя.

МУНО стало для неї спільнотою, що надихає: «Це місце, де хочеться бути. Люди тут підсилюють і підтримують одне одного, створюючи теплу, дружню атмосферу». Саме тут вона навчилася діяти швидко, впевнено проявляти свої таланти, легко комунікувати та брати на себе ініціативу.

У майбутньому Єлизавета хоче глибше розібратися у внутрішній структурі організації — як функціонує управління, звітність, фінансування, як отримуються гранти. Також її приваблює участь у комітеті літнього юнацького табору “Гарт”.

Вона мріє про створення проєкту або продукту, який би об’єднав українців і прославляв Україну у світі, а також про день, коли зможе зібратись за одним столом зі своєю родиною в рідному Києві — під мирним небом.

Її натхнення — всі українці, які попри виклики продовжують створювати, працювати, підтримувати ЗСУ й будувати сильну державу.

Nutritionist, researcher, creative soul.

📍 Kyiv → Canada, since 2023

Liza was born in Kyiv and moved to Canada in 2023 after being accepted into a master’s program at the University of Alberta. She brings with her an impressive academic background: a bachelor’s degree in nutrition, a master’s degree in laboratory diagnostics, and another master’s as a teacher of English and German. Currently, she is both studying and working at the university as a research assistant, actively participating in scientific research projects.

She joined UNYF just a few months after moving — in November 2023 — and has since been an active contributor to various projects: organizing concerts, filming videos for theater performances, and more. Her volunteer journey is full of initiative, openness to new experiences, and a readiness to learn. Liza says that volunteering is not just about supporting Ukraine — it’s a way to create, explore herself, discover new sides of her personality, and bring ideas to life.

For her, UNYF has become an inspiring community: “It’s a place where you want to be. The people here empower and support each other, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere.” Here, she learned to act quickly, to confidently showcase her talents, to communicate with ease, and to take initiative.

In the future, Liza hopes to gain a deeper understanding of the internal structure of the organization — how leadership, reporting, and funding work, how grants are obtained. She’s also interested in joining the organizing committee of the summer youth camp “HART.”

She dreams of creating a project or product that would unite Ukrainians and promote Ukraine on the world stage — and of the day when she can sit around the table with her family in her native Kyiv, under a peaceful sky.

Her source of inspiration is all Ukrainians who, despite the challenges, continue to create, work, support the Armed Forces, and build a strong nation.
