Join us on Sunday, October 29th for a worldwide rally for Ukraine!
Nova Poshta has recently announced their “Longest Marathon in the World”, which will take place in Kyiv on Sunday, October 29th. It’s titled the longest, because Ukraine has been fighting for its freedom for so long, longer than any marathon in history. It’s been a true marathon of never-ending flighting for freedom and reclaiming our land.
The marathon will be dedicated to honoring and supporting the courageous Ukrainian defenders, who have been protecting independent Ukraine, saving innocent lives, and fighting the Russian occupiers, for the past 9 years, and to honour the brave heroes who bring us closer to Ukraine’s victory in this brutal war.
Many countries are already participating in this event, and our community in Edmonton is not the exemption, as we will also be taking part in this marathon!
WHEN: Sunday, October 29, 2023
TIME: 2:00 PM
LOCATION: Victoria Park (12030 River Valley Rd NW)
ROUTE: River Valley (the exact route will be announced later)
We’re also asking participants to wear our signature “Edmonton Stands With Ukraine” t-shirts (if you have them)
PLEASE NOTE:
– There’s no minimum or maximum distance. You can run whatever distance you’re comfortable with.
– If you prefer not to run, you can just donate and come out anyway, to show your support for participants and Ukraine!
– The participants of the run will get their own starter kit, which will include your unique number with a space to include the name of the Ukrainian hero that you’re dedicating your run to, unique medal, and postcards with photos of Ukrainian photographers.
– The costs of the starter kit delivery are fully covered by Nova Poshta.
– There are only 323 starter kits left available, so hurry and claim yours now!
HOW TO PARTICIPATE:
• Register on the website (attached below) and put in your information for the delivery of the starter kit.
• Instead of a registration fee, you can make a donation towards the fundraiser «Protect the Sky – boost our Air Defense»
• Receive your starter kit.
• Join us on October 29th for a run, in Edmonton, at 2 pm.
• Share the photos and videos on social media, and please tag us – it would be greatly appreciated!
