We know what you’ll be doing with us this Saturday, January 20th!
We’re heading to a brilliant performance by “Suzirya” – a Ukrainian Drama Theatre in Edmonton, and will be enjoying an awesome production “Malanka in the Mitten”!
If you didn’t know – Malanka is a traditional Ukrainian folk celebration that marks the New Year according to the Julian calendar. It usually takes place on the night of January 13th to 14th. Malanka is known for its festive and lively atmosphere, featuring music, dance, costumes, and various customs. Participants often dress in elaborate costumes and masks and perform traditional dances. The celebration is a mix of pagan and Christian traditions and is widely observed in Ukrainian communities around the world.

Where: Ukrainian National Federation (10629 98 St NW, Edmonton)
When: Doors open at 6pm. Show starts at 6:30pm.
Tickets: $20 each and can be bought only at the entrance. All proceeds will go towards our next fundraiser for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
